Creating Our Pitch
When planning our thriller film, we created a pitch to present to the film organisation.
Our film was to be a thriller. We chose to do a psychological thriller that includes aspects of horror. We decided this because we thought it would appeal most to our target audience. The length will be approximately 120 minutes long with the tag line 'Don't play her game; you'll lose'.
The title will be 'Hello' and is a significant part of the plot. Our protagonist will see this word everywhere and be haunted by it.
The target audience we have is a certificated age of 15. We aim to attract a mass audience aged between fifteen and eighteen. We are aiming at a young audience because they can relate more easily to our young actors. 15 is believe to be a suitable age rating for our film as it will include deaths and strong language in particular scene, but this will not be too extreme. We believe that it will be used by people as escapism.
The first few opening scenes will be in Eastwood Park in Hasland, a house and the street leading to this house.
The basic theme of the film will incorporate parts of 'The Roommate'. It will be about a young girl who is living a seemingly normal life when she suddenly starts noticing differences in her everyday life. She starts seeing the word 'hello' everywhere including it being written on walls, in alleyways and even in her own home. She begins to get paranoid and things begin to spiral out of control.
